Dr. Melinda Huang brings more than 25 years of experience and a rare combination of subspecialty depth and compassionate, personalized women's health care to every patient she sees.
A graduate of The Bronx High School of Science, Dr. Huang's dedication to medicine was evident early on. She completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine in six years through the prestigious Accelerated Physician-Scientist Biomedical Studies Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College, earning her medical degree in 1995.
Dr. Huang completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and Montefiore Medical Center. She then pursued fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, one of the world's leading cancer hospitals, followed by a three-year subspecialty fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System.
Throughout her training, Dr. Huang received numerous honors, including the hospital's Outstanding Resident of the Year and an Academic Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology award.
Prior to joining Lenox OBGYN, Dr. Huang served in physician leadership as Chief of OB/GYN for a large multidisciplinary practice with offices across Fifth Avenue, the Upper East Side, Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Long Island — managing a team of clinicians while maintaining her own busy practice.
Dr. Huang offers comprehensive women's health care for patients of all ages, from adolescence through menopause. Her background in gynecologic oncology gives her an exceptional eye for early detection and complex gynecologic conditions, while her warmth and personal approach make routine visits feel unhurried and deeply reassuring.
